This posting is about the guy I've been seeing/dating for over a year and a half. I hesitate to call him my "BF" at this point. We've had an extremely intense (and pretty tumultuous), relationship which at this moment is intentionally "undefined" (meaning I suppose that technically I would be allowed to see/sleep with other people -- but I'm not really doing that). I really don't want to talk about any of that at the moment. I just want to get something off my chest and ask for your perspectives.

Yeah, I'm thinking waiting until after the show is over (Nov. 7th) is a good idea, if only because I could use the intervening time to get to know him better and suss out if I would want to really date him. While my castmates might already be wondering if there's something between this guy and me, I wouldn't want to give any (more) grist to the gossip mill and possibly cause some sort of weird tension, since he's second only to the director in this production.

I appreciate all the advice, you've all given. It makes me feel a little more confident and less guilty in a way, I guess. She did ask me a few weeks ago if I would ever date "Mike" and I said yes. "I would love to date him in the perfect scenerio, 1. you where involved with someone 2. I knew he had no more romatic feelings for you 3. I would ask for your consent before that would even happen" Her reply was "Well, if that would make him happy, then I would be happy for him". See the other twist is her sister is also one of my best friends, so I could essentially lose 2 very powerful friends in my life. Her sister would be very upset with me.....but then I believe in the rule of thumb you've all been preaching....if he is that one I've been waiting for, then it would be worth it to me. I'm a 29 year old single mom, never married and too busy the last 10yrs to even have any relationship outside of the occassional fling or blind date. We'll see, maybe all this will fizzle out and I'll be left with no decisions to make after all. At any rate, thanks again!

So, I had forgotten I had an internet dating profile up from the last time my boyfriend and I broke up. My internet profile isn't very "come-hither" and so I guess I wasn't worried about it. I don't usually take those things seriously, anyway. But, this one day I get a message from this great seeming guy and we start talking. He lives in my home town which I will be returning to over my holiday break....for a month. We've spent hours upon hours talking and from how much I know of him, he's the ideal man for me. He's amazing and genuine and...everything I'm looking for. We've never met, but he wants to meet me over break...and I want to meet him too.
